Scorpion Cubs

Cubs offers activities for young people aged 8-10½ including games, crafts, exploring. Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like The Aviation Museum, Fire Station, Gilwell Park the home of scouting, activity weekends, Sleepovers and of course camping.

During the Cub Evenings we run a fun and exciting programme. Here are some of the activities we have run during our programmes – Fire Station Visits, Backwoods Cooking, Pioneering, Local knowledge, Cub Scout Activity Badges, and Games. Also during the evenings, we run our programmes to include the badge work and the different parts of the Cub Scout Award Scheme.

We also attend District Sports Day, Swimming Gala and all other District Events as well as running our own activities in the group.

We sometimes run a football session on a Saturday afternoon for scouts, cubs and beavers, which is run principally by Anton. This is an opportunity for our young footballers to come and play a friendly game of football against the other scouts and against other scout units.
